Every dollar goes to the tool. Nobody is paid a salary.
Rules
- No money from candidates, campaigns, parties or political committees. A gift from any of them is returned.
- Donors never influence what is researched or how a result reads. The method is published on the how it works page.
- Gifts are not tax-deductible yet. That changes once the nonprofit paperwork is through, and this page will say so.
- Prefer to give time? Email. Records requests and city-by-city checks are the slowest part.
